| Poets create worlds with words. Artists create with paint. Jeannine Levitt-Riccio, also known as "Fleurette," has always been an artist. During her serene childhood in the South of France, she spent her days painting flowers and later studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Later, she would become a model, a muse, and a sculptor, using fantastic charity balls as her canvas. Life was and is her canvas. Having left that world behind, she now focuses her energy on her paintings. Her true talents emerged when she moved to Hawaii 30 years ago. The awe-inspiring beauty and power of the sea, in conjunction with the majesty of the mountains stirred the artist to create new works focusing on the spiritual and emotive aspects of the landscape. They are expressions of an inner world of beauty and a deep appreciation for nature. |
